Motorola is entering the ultra-premium smartphone market in the United States with the Signature 27, a new flagship designed to compete with high-end devices from Apple and Samsung. The phone is priced at $1,599.99, placing it close to Motorola’s more expensive foldable offerings. The Signature 27 marks a departure from Motorola’s previous Edge-series positioning. It combines flagship hardware with a distinctive design built around metal, ceramic and glass, alongside textured polycarbonate rear finishes. The smartphone will be available in two colour options: Pantone Coal Smoke, featuring a tactical-weave texture inspired by automotive design, and Pantone Capulet Olive, which has a textile-inspired finish. Motorola’s official specifications highlight a 6.8-inch tandem OLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and a multi-camera system. The rear setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A dedicated motion sensor is also designed to help capture fast-moving subjects. Other features include a 7,000mAh battery, 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen. Motorola has also promised seven operating system upgrades and up to seven years of security updates. Global Blog +1 In the US, pre-orders are scheduled to open on November 19, with sales beginning November 26. The price and availability in other markets may differ.
