What to send where
- A news tip. Tell us what happened, where, and how you know. If you have a document, a photograph or a recording, say so and we will come back to you about how to send it safely.
- A correction. Point us at the story and the sentence. We would far rather hear it from you than leave it standing. See our Corrections Policy.
- A complaint. Tell us what we got wrong and why it matters. A person will reply, not a form letter.
- Advertising. See Advertise With Us first, then write to us.
- A letter for publication. Mark it clearly as a letter to the editor and include your full name and your town. We edit letters for length and clarity, never for meaning.
Before you write
We cannot take down a story because somebody is unhappy with what it reports. We can and will correct anything that is factually wrong. Those are different things, and the second one we take seriously.
