Apple has begun testing its iOS 27.3 software update, introducing expanded Siri AI capabilities alongside new Apple Watch features and improvements to several built-in apps. The developer beta focuses on making Siri more capable of handling tasks across Apple’s ecosystem. With the update, Siri AI can perform more complex actions in applications including Calendar, Mail, Notes, Photos and Music. Users can reportedly ask Siri to create playlists based on specific requests, organise Safari tabs into groups and schedule messages. The update also introduces new Audio Intelligence features for compatible Apple Watch models, including Live Rewind and Siri Recap. Live Rewind can display a text snippet of the previous 15 seconds of a conversation, while Siri Recap generates summaries of conversations to help users remember important information. These features are designed for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. Safari is receiving additional improvements, including vertical tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode for websites that do not offer their own dark appearance. Siri can also help users manage browsing tabs and history. Apple is testing a redesigned Health app with personalised insights, while Fitness+ is introducing gym-focused strength training plans tailored to users’ goals and schedules. The software update also includes changes to StandBy and other Apple ecosystem features. However, iOS 27.3 remains in beta testing, meaning features and availability may change before the final release. The update reflects Apple’s continued push to integrate AI into everyday device interactions, expanding Siri’s role beyond basic voice commands and bringing more intelligent features across its products.
