Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 27.2 for iPhone, continuing testing of the next major software update following the public release of iOS 27. Apple lists the new build as iOS 27.2 beta 3 (24B5099f), released on October 5.
The latest beta arrives two weeks after the previous developer beta. Apple is also skipping a conventional iOS 27.1 release for regular iPhone models, with the 27.1 branch focused on software support for the iPhone Duo foldable.
iOS 27.2 already brings several notable changes. The redesigned Health app, first showcased with the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, is included in the beta. Apple is also testing Dual Capture for Group FaceTime and expanding Siri AI language support to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.
Other changes include Apple TV profiles on iPhone and updates to the Podcasts app. The former Up Next section is now called New Episodes, while Continue Playing appears directly below it. Apple Music has also received interface changes, including reduced use of the app icon’s colours in labels.
The third beta is primarily a developer testing release, and Apple has not yet published a complete list of new features specific to this build. More changes could emerge as developers examine the update.
Apple has also released third betas of iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2 alongside the iOS update.
