Thousands of fans gathered at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday evening, October 30, 2026, to watch Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh perform despite persistent rain. The concert marked the beginning of his Aura India Tour 2026, with fans travelling from across India and overseas to attend the show.
Unseasonal showers continued through the day and into the evening, but the weather did little to dampen the excitement. Concertgoers began assembling outside the stadium hours before the performance, creating a lively atmosphere around the venue as fans prepared for the much-anticipated show.
Many attendees wore white turbans and kurta-pyjamas, adding to the visual spectacle surrounding the concert. Some fans reportedly travelled from cities such as London and Toronto, while others arrived from different parts of India to see the singer perform live in the capital.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Metro station experienced heavy crowds as concertgoers made their way to the venue. Queues formed at the station’s exit, with fans heading towards Gate No. 14. Since general parking was unavailable at the stadium, many people chose public transport to reach the concert.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation extended services on all lines except the Airport Express Line until midnight to help concertgoers travel after the event. The additional operating hours were intended to support the movement of large crowds attending the show.
The turnout highlighted Dosanjh’s popularity among Punjabi music fans in India and abroad. His concerts have become major gatherings for audiences who travel long distances to experience his performances, bringing together fans from different cities and countries.
Despite the rain and transport-related crowds, the Delhi show opened the India leg of the Aura tour with thousands of fans turning up to celebrate the singer’s music. The event also underlined the importance of transport planning and crowd management for large-scale concerts in the capital.
