Vijay admitted that he could not immediately recall the exact Dhurandhar songs being played. When asked about them, he requested the host to hum the tracks so he could identify them. The actor also revealed that he listens to a lot of independent music.

The conversation comes as Vijay and Rashmika prepare to share the screen again in Ranabaali. The upcoming Telugu period drama marks their third film together after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, and their first release as an on-screen pair following their marriage.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is set against the backdrop of British rule between 1854 and 1878. The story draws inspiration from lesser-known chapters of the Rayalaseema region and revolves around the fictional warrior Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali.

Rashmika plays Jayamma, while Vijay takes on the titular role. The film also features Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo and has been backed by Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series presenting the project. Ajay-Atul have composed the music.

The team completed filming in September, with Ranabaali scheduled for a worldwide release on October 16.
