Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he would continue serving the country until the final moment of his life, as he addressed a public gathering at Bhildi village in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. The visit included the foundation stone laying for several development projects and a roadshow through the area.

Supporters along the convoy route held placards with the message “Modi kahin nahin jayega,” meaning “Modi is not going anywhere.” Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary attended the event.

In his speech, Modi accused unnamed opponents of spreading rumours and trying to create public disorder to damage his reputation. Referring to the Gulf war, he said false claims had caused concerns about fertiliser supplies for farmers and cooking gas for households. He said his government had maintained fertiliser availability and absorbed higher international costs.

Modi cited price differences, saying a urea bag costing about Rs 3,000 on the global market is sold to Indian farmers for less than Rs 300. He said DAP, which he put at Rs 5,000 internationally, is available to farmers at Rs 1,350 per bag. These figures were presented by the Prime Minister during his address.

He also said farmers had earned or saved around Rs 50 lakh crore through five government initiatives. The programme included the release of the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi to beneficiaries across India.

The Gujarat visit combined infrastructure announcements with a message focused on farmer support and political criticism.
