The two-hour special will air live from Belmont University’s Fisher Center in Nashville. Viewers in the US can watch the event on ABC and Disney+ at 9 pm ET on Wednesday, October 21. The show will also be available to stream on Hulu the following day.

The star-studded lineup includes Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Darius Rucker, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Zac Brown and Ashley McBryde. The tribute will also feature bluegrass musician Bela Fleck, Broadway performer Kristin Chenoweth and actress-singer Kristen Bell.

A Belmont University student ensemble will also participate, connecting the event with the institution’s ongoing “Dolly U” programme celebrating Parton’s legacy.

The tribute is expected to highlight Parton’s influence across country music, bluegrass, Broadway and entertainment. Money raised through the event will support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, her literacy initiative that provides books to children.

Robert Deaton serves as executive producer of the special. Parton died on August 25 at the age of 80 following a brief battle with cancer, according to a statement from her representative.
