The Delhi Education Department has directed schools and education officials to ensure 100% Aadhaar seeding of bank accounts belonging to eligible student beneficiaries to prevent delays and failures in financial assistance under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes.

The directive covers four schemes implemented through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for students studying in government and government-aided schools. These include financial assistance for school uniforms, textbook subsidies for Classes 9 to 12, support for Economically Backward Minorities (EBM), and the Lal Bahadur Shastri Scholarship for meritorious students.

For the 2026–27 academic session, the department has made lists of successful payments and transactions facing errors available on the EduDel portal. Officials have been asked to check the error list, correct discrepancies in student records and ensure bank accounts are properly linked with Aadhaar.

Regional Directors of Education must coordinate with district and zonal officials to monitor progress and achieve complete coverage. Schools have also been instructed to organise awareness and helpdesk camps to assist students and parents with the process.

The department will track progress through weekly district-wise reports covering corrections to account details and Aadhaar-seeding status. The initiative aims to help eligible students receive their financial assistance without avoidable payment disruptions.
