Registration for the UGC NET December 2026 examination is underway, with candidates required to submit their applications by October 28, 2026. Applicants who have not yet registered are advised to apply through the official National Testing Agency (NTA) website without waiting until the deadline.
As of October 25, a total of 5,50,048 candidates had registered. Of these, 3,73,419 had completed their applications and paid the examination fee.
Meanwhile, 1,36,993 candidates were yet to upload their photographs and signatures and pay the fee. Another 31,580 had uploaded their photographs and signatures but had not completed the fee payment.
Candidates with incomplete applications should finish all pending steps, pay the required fee and download the Confirmation Page after successful submission. Registration alone does not mean the application process is complete.
Applicants can visit https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/ to access the application portal. For assistance, candidates can contact the helpline at 011-40759000.
Candidates are encouraged to verify all details on the official website and complete their applications before the October 28 deadline.
