Under the deal, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone and Australian all-rounder Jack Edwards will move from Sunrisers Hyderabad to Chennai Super Kings. In exchange, fast bowlers Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis will join SRH.

Livingstone will join CSK for a revised salary of ₹6 crore, reduced from the ₹13 crore that Sunrisers Hyderabad had paid for him at the auction. Edwards will move to Chennai at his existing fee of ₹3 crore.

Meanwhile, Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis will join Sunrisers Hyderabad at their existing salaries of ₹4.8 crore and ₹2 crore, respectively.

The deal gives Chennai Super Kings two all-rounders, adding options to their batting and bowling combinations. Livingstone brings experience as a powerful batter and spin-bowling option, while Edwards offers another all-round option.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, meanwhile, strengthen their pace-bowling resources by bringing in Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis.

The four-player exchange is an important squad development ahead of the IPL 2027 auction, with both franchises adjusting their team combinations before the new season.
