Speaking at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha, Modi reflected on his journey that began on October 7, 2001, when he became Chief Minister of Gujarat, before rising to lead India as Prime Minister. He emphasized that his political career initially reflected only the work of an organizational worker, noting: “I had been involved in elections, yet I had never contested one myself.”

Highlighting India’s transformation, Modi said: “There is no reason for India to stop. A hundred years ago, there were less than 40 crore of us; today, we are more than 140 crore. The 140 crore citizens together will build a developed India by 2047 — and we certainly will. We Will Do It.”

The slogan is being positioned as a rallying cry for collective national progress, reinforcing Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Analysts see it as both a reflection of his political legacy and a motivational call for the next two decades of India’s growth story.
