The National Testing Agency (NTA) has barred Aditya Motegaonkar, son of Latur-based coaching centre owner Shivraj Motegaonkar, from appearing for NEET-UG 2027 and withheld his result from the examination held earlier this year.
According to an NTA communication dated September 19, Aditya has been declared ineligible to appear for the 2027 medical entrance examination following an explanation sought from him over alleged irregularities.
His father, Shivraj Motegaonkar, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case and is currently in judicial custody.
The CBI has alleged that Shivraj paid ₹5 lakh to P V Kulkarni, who was part of the NTA panel involved in setting the examination paper, to obtain Chemistry questions. According to the agency, Aditya attended Kulkarni’s coaching classes, where the questions were allegedly provided to him.
The NTA’s action follows a retest conducted on June 21. The agency has withheld Aditya’s result while also imposing a two-year debarment covering NEET-UG 2027.
The case remains subject to the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings.
