Maruti Suzuki is offering discounts of up to ₹2.65 lakh on select Grand Vitara variants in October 2026, giving SUV buyers an opportunity to save during the festive season. The maximum benefit is available on the Strong Hybrid version, while Smart Hybrid variants are also eligible for exchange bonuses, upgrade benefits and cash discounts.
The Grand Vitara competes in India’s mid-size SUV segment against models such as the Hyundai Creta. Its final on-road price and the benefits available to buyers can vary depending on the city, dealership, selected variant and stock availability. Buyers should confirm the applicable offers before booking, as not every variant qualifies for the maximum discount.
The Strong Hybrid variant comes with the largest advertised benefit of ₹2.65 lakh. According to the reported offer breakdown, this includes road-tax savings of up to ₹1.85 lakh, an exchange bonus of ₹50,000 and an upgrade bonus of ₹30,000 on select older models. A five-year extended warranty package is also being offered, but its value is not included in the advertised discount.
The Strong Hybrid uses a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor and an e-CVT automatic transmission. Its claimed fuel efficiency is nearly 28 km/l, making it an option for buyers who prioritise mileage, particularly in city traffic. The hybrid system combines petrol power with electric assistance to improve efficiency.
The Smart Hybrid variants are also receiving festive-season benefits, although the total savings are lower than those offered on the Strong Hybrid. Reported offers include an exchange bonus of ₹30,000, an upgrade bonus of ₹20,000 on select older models and cash discounts ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹35,000, depending on the variant. Warranty-related benefits may also be available.
These variants use a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 101.5 bhp and 139 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. Claimed mileage is approximately 19–21 km/l, depending on the variant and transmission. Select versions also offer AllGrip all-wheel drive for additional traction.
The Grand Vitara is available with a factory-fitted CNG option based on its 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. This version may appeal to buyers who regularly cover long distances and want to manage fuel expenses. However, the maximum ₹2.65 lakh offer is associated with the Strong Hybrid, so CNG buyers should check separately for applicable discounts.
For buyers deciding between the available powertrains, the Strong Hybrid may be worth considering for its higher claimed mileage and automatic convenience, while the Smart Hybrid offers more conventional petrol-engine choices. The CNG variant is another option for drivers who prioritise running costs. Actual fuel efficiency will depend on driving conditions, traffic, maintenance and driving style.
Before making a purchase, buyers should request a written, variant-wise quotation from their local Maruti Suzuki dealership. It is also important to check whether advertised benefits are cash discounts or conditional savings linked to exchange eligibility, vehicle registration taxes or specific upgrade programmes. This will help establish the actual amount saved and the final on-road price.
