Katrina faced comments about her weight after attending the Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai with her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, in September. The actor welcomed her son in November 2025.

Reflecting on the impact of online criticism, Katrina said that allowing every negative comment to dictate her choices could leave a person afraid to move forward. She emphasised the importance of becoming one’s own source of encouragement, particularly when public opinion turns critical.

The actor also explained the thinking behind Kay Beauty’s tagline, “It’s K to be you”, which promotes individuality and self-acceptance. She noted that confidence can change at different stages of life and encouraged people to accept themselves without placing unnecessary pressure on their appearance or achievements.

The incident has renewed conversations about the scrutiny women face over their bodies after childbirth. Actor Salman Khan also addressed the issue on Bigg Boss 20, questioning why women are criticised for natural physical changes during pregnancy and after delivery.

Katrina’s remarks highlight the importance of self-acceptance and the need to approach online commentary with perspective rather than allowing it to define personal value.
