According to the students, teachers handling Science and Mathematics were sent on official duty for 17 days but had not returned even after nearly two months. They said the prolonged absence has left their syllabus incomplete and affected their preparation.

The students reportedly demanded that teachers for the two core subjects be appointed or returned to the school. They expressed concern that inadequate preparation could affect their examination performance and said they were worried about failing their exams.

During the protest, students raised slogans including “Hamaari Shiksha Zaruri Hai” (Our education is important) and said that education is their right.

Parents also raised concerns about the situation. One parent said the school currently had no teachers for Science and Mathematics and questioned how students could continue their education effectively without regular classroom instruction.

The protest has highlighted concerns over the impact of teacher shortages and staff deployment on students in government schools. For students approaching examinations, prolonged vacancies in core subjects can create additional pressure, particularly when significant portions of the syllabus remain unfinished.

The students are now seeking intervention from the education authorities to address the shortage and ensure that regular teaching resumes at the school.
