Drishyam 3 box office collection day 5: Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller has continued its strong theatrical run, crossing the ₹200 crore mark in India within five days of its release.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Drishyam 3 has collected around ₹216.50 crore net in India during its first five days. The film opened strongly on Friday with ₹62 crore, followed by ₹53.50 crore on Saturday. Sunday brought another major boost, with the film earning ₹61 crore at 56% occupancy.
The expected weekday slowdown began on Monday, when the film collected ₹21 crore. On Tuesday, its fifth day, Drishyam 3 reportedly earned ₹19 crore at around 23% occupancy.
Despite the drop from its weekend numbers, the film has maintained a significant lead at the box office. Its five-day total has also taken it past the lifetime collections of several recent releases, including Karuppu, Sikandar and Awarapan 2, according to the report.
The strong opening and sustained audience response have now put Drishyam 3 in a position to challenge the lifetime box-office performance of Drishyam 2. The Ajay Devgn-led franchise has once again demonstrated its ability to attract audiences with its crime-thriller narrative.
With the first week still underway, the film’s performance over the coming days will determine how close it can get to the previous instalment’s lifetime record.
