The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2027 will begin on February 16.
The announcement was made on Friday, November 6, 2026. According to the board, the Class 10 examinations will conclude on March 9, while the Class 12 examinations are scheduled to continue until April 9, 2027.
CBSE provides gaps between examinations
The board stated that adequate gaps have been provided between examinations of subjects commonly chosen together by students in both Class 10 and Class 12.
The spacing is intended to give students time between papers for revision and preparation. However, the detailed subject-wise examination dates and timings are not included in the information supplied.
Over 46 lakh students registered
The 2027 board examinations will see participation from a large number of students across both classes.
More than 19.8 lakh students in Class 12 and 26.5 lakh students in Class 10 have registered for the examinations, according to the figures reported.
With the examinations beginning in February, students should follow the official CBSE announcements for the detailed date sheet and any further examination-related instructions.
