Peringode was among a select group of eminent artists from across India invited by Rashtrapati Bhavan authorities to create artworks for the museum. His works draw on Kerala’s rich artistic and cultural heritage and will now become part of the museum’s permanent collection.

The inclusion gives visitors from India and abroad an opportunity to experience an important aspect of Kerala’s traditional visual culture while exploring the presidential museum. The project also places the State’s mural heritage within a broader national cultural setting.

Peringode is known for his work across multiple creative fields, including mural art, art direction and production design. His artistic practice has remained closely connected to Kerala’s cultural traditions, allowing traditional visual elements to reach contemporary audiences through different forms of storytelling.

The permanent installation at Rashtrapati Bhavan represents a significant recognition of Kerala’s mural heritage and Peringode’s contribution to Indian art. The museum receives visitors from across the country as well as international tourists, giving the works a wide audience.

The project also highlights how traditional Indian art forms continue to find new spaces beyond their regional origins. By bringing Kerala-inspired murals into a national institution, Peringode’s works offer visitors a visual introduction to the State’s distinctive artistic vocabulary and cultural history.
