The makers announced Kashyap’s casting on October 6 with a picture from the Hyderabad sets. The image shows director Bobby Kolli discussing a scene with Kashyap, while the official announcement described his part as a “powerful & pivotal role”.

Kolli also hinted at the importance of Kashyap’s character, saying that some characters leave a lasting impact and that the filmmaker-actor would add an intense layer to the high-voltage entertainer.

However, the filmmakers have not revealed the name or nature of Anurag Kashyap’s character. The secrecy has already prompted speculation among fans, with some wondering whether he could play the film’s antagonist.

Kashyap has increasingly taken on acting roles in South Indian films while continuing his work as a filmmaker. His addition to Kaaka marks another collaboration that has generated curiosity around the film’s ensemble cast and storyline.

The movie stars Chiranjeevi in the lead and is directed by Bobby Kolli. While details about the plot and Kashyap’s role remain under wraps, the makers’ description of his character as pivotal has added to anticipation surrounding the project.

For now, whether Kashyap is playing the antagonist or another significant character remains unconfirmed. The filmmakers appear to be keeping that detail secret as production continues in Hyderabad.
