Dixit will become the 29th Chief of Air Staff, taking over leadership of the Indian Air Force (IAF) at a crucial juncture marked by modernization drives, enhanced joint operations, and evolving regional security challenges.

Known for his operational expertise and strategic vision, Dixit has held several key command and staff appointments during his distinguished career. His elevation is expected to further strengthen the IAF’s focus on combat readiness, technological upgrades, and integration with tri‑service commands.

The transition also underscores continuity in leadership as the Air Force navigates modernization programs, including induction of advanced fighter jets, drones, and air defence systems. With Dixit at the helm, the IAF is poised to continue its role as a critical pillar of India’s national security architecture.
