Aadarsha Kutumbam, starring Venkatesh and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, blends family comedy, emotions and crime into a light-hearted Telugu entertainer. While the story follows a familiar path, the performances and screenplay help maintain its appeal.

The film follows Chittubabu, a middle-class man struggling with debt whose fortunes change after he wins a lottery. His family moves into a luxurious villa, but the dream of a better life soon takes an unexpected turn when they become entangled in a crime-related situation.

The first half establishes the family dynamics and introduces a parallel crime track. Although the humour is uneven in places, the narrative gains momentum in the 20 minutes leading up to the interval. The second half is more engaging, with Trivikram’s dialogue-driven humour and screenplay bringing greater energy to the proceedings. The crime storyline itself is predictable, but its combination with comedy keeps the film entertaining.

Venkatesh delivers a strong performance, balancing family emotions with effortless comic timing. Srinidhi Shetty fits her role well, while Satya provides laughs as a Cognizant employee. Rao Ramesh and Raghu Babu offer effective support, and some of the dialogue-driven moments recall Trivikram’s familiar writing style.

Thaman’s background score adds energy, particularly during the crime sequences. However, the songs are less memorable, with “Narayanamma” standing out from the rest.

The film’s main weakness is its conventional storyline. The backstory lacks impact, and the family-meets-crime premise offers limited novelty. Even so, the screenplay, cast and well-timed humour help keep the film engaging, while the climax concludes the story without excessive delay.

With a reported rating of 2.75 out of 5, Aadarsha Kutumbam is a reasonably entertaining option for viewers who enjoy family dramas with comedy and a crime twist. It may not offer a fresh story, but Venkatesh’s performance and Trivikram’s writing provide enough moments to keep audiences interested.
