The Sennheiser Momentum 5 Wireless arrives as a premium upgrade to the Momentum 4, with a focus on improving the features that matter most in everyday use. Priced at ₹39,990 in India, the headphones combine high-fidelity audio, stronger noise cancellation and a more practical battery design.
The biggest upgrade is the new hybrid adaptive ANC system, which uses eight microphones and is designed to provide stronger noise reduction than the previous generation. Sennheiser says the Momentum 5 offers up to three times stronger ANC in midrange frequencies compared with the Momentum 4.
Audio is handled by a 42mm dynamic driver, while 3D Dolby Atmos spatial audio is designed to create a more immersive listening experience. The headphones also support aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive and AAC codecs, along with Bluetooth 5.4.
Battery life is another major highlight. The Momentum 5 can deliver up to 57 hours of playback with ANC enabled. More importantly, its rechargeable battery is user-replaceable, potentially extending the usable life of the headphones rather than requiring the entire product to be replaced when the battery wears out.
The headphones weigh around 290 grams and include features such as transparency mode, beamforming microphones, automatic wind-noise suppression and an eight-band EQ through Sennheiser’s app.
For Momentum 4 owners, the upgrade is less about a dramatic redesign and more about meaningful improvements to ANC, immersion, battery longevity and everyday usability. At ₹39,990, the Momentum 5 is positioned as a premium option for listeners who value sound quality and long-term usability.
