Actor Ranbir Kapoor has spoken about the importance of storytelling in his daughter Raha’s upbringing, revealing that he and his wife, Alia Bhatt, regularly share stories with her. He also hopes she will watch his film Ramayana and understand the moral lessons it conveys. In an interview with BBC News, Ranbir said becoming a father coincided with a period when he began thinking more deeply about becoming a better person. “I’d like my daughter to watch Ramayana,” he said, explaining that Raha has already developed an interest in the epic. The actor shared that storytelling has been a regular part of their family life. “Alia and I always tell her stories,” he said. Raha has also visited the film’s sets several times and experienced parts of the production firsthand. Ranbir revealed that she had even participated in a shot alongside him, Sai Pallavi and the actor playing Lakshman. The actor expressed happiness and gratitude at the prospect of Ramayana becoming the first story his daughter watches on screen. His comments highlight the role stories can play in introducing children to moral values, cultural traditions and ideas about right and wrong. For parents, storytelling can provide opportunities to discuss kindness, responsibility and empathy through characters and situations children can understand.
