The latest procedure marks another stage in Charan’s rehabilitation after he underwent surgery for the injury earlier this year. The follow-up procedure was performed by Dr Praveen under the guidance of Dr Rajasekaran and Dr Sabhapathi, according to reports.

Following the removal of the cast and rods, the actor is expected to undergo 8 to 10 weeks of intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation. His return to film sets will depend on his recovery and medical clearance. Reports indicate that he could resume shooting after mid-November.

The injury occurred while Charan was filming physically demanding sequences for Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The sports action drama also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu and others.

Charan’s next major project is his collaboration with director Sukumar, tentatively referred to as RC17. Work on the project is expected to proceed after the actor completes his recovery.
