The event was attended by hundreds of members of the Sindhi community, highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of Mata Sahib Hasi Devi Ji. She was the fifth head of the historic Shadani Darbar, a revered spiritual centre associated with the Sindhi community.

The coin release formed part of President Murmu’s two-day visit to Chhattisgarh, which includes several programmes celebrating the state’s cultural traditions and community service.

Following the ceremony, the President is scheduled to attend the ‘Seva Samman Parv’ and ‘Yuva Prabodhan’ events at the Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur as part of the Nuakhai celebrations.

On the second day of her visit, President Murmu is scheduled to offer prayers at the Maa Danteshwari Temple and attend the traditional Muria Darbar, an important event associated with Bastar Dussehra.

During the Muria Darbar, she is expected to interact with tribal leaders, priests and representatives of indigenous communities.

Bastar Dussehra is known for its distinctive traditions and differs from Dussehra celebrations observed in many other parts of India. The President’s visit provides an opportunity to recognise Chhattisgarh’s diverse cultural heritage and engage with communities across the state.
