In a joint declaration issued in New Delhi on October 27, 2026, parliamentary leaders from BRICS nations criticised unilateral coercive measures and economic sanctions imposed in the region, stating that such actions were contrary to international law.

The two-day forum was led by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and brought together parliamentary representatives to discuss key international and regional issues.

The declaration also reiterated support for a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict. It emphasised the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, freedom, and the establishment of an independent and sovereign state.

The statement reflects the participating parliamentarians' concerns about the continuing instability in West Asia and highlights the importance of diplomatic engagement, international cooperation, and peaceful conflict resolution.

The forum's discussions underscored the need for political dialogue and solutions that respect international law and the legitimate rights of people affected by regional conflicts.
