The discussions focused on three broad themes: integrity, inclusion and innovation. Participants examined how examinations are currently conducted, areas where systems and processes can be strengthened, and ways to improve the experience of candidates appearing for NTA examinations.

Technology and process improvements were also central to the discussions, with an emphasis on building examination systems that are more transparent, responsive and capable of strengthening trust among students and their families.

The Chintan Shivir was positioned not only as an exercise to review existing practices but also as an opportunity to outline the direction for what the agency describes as a “New NTA”.

The agency said the discussions involved open dialogue, candid questions and ideas aimed at strengthening its examination framework. The focus was on creating stronger systems, improving transparency and making processes more responsive to candidates.

With the conclusion of the four-day programme, the NTA has described the Shivir as an important step in its ongoing transformation.

The agency’s stated objective is to build an examination system that combines stronger institutional processes with improved candidate experience and greater public trust.

The Chintan Shivir has now concluded, while the broader process of strengthening and transforming the NTA is set to continue.
