Speaking on The Hindu’s The View from India podcast, Justice Muralidhar said the commission’s recent report had demonstrated what it described as Israel’s intent to prevent Palestinians from continuing to exist as a group.

He said Israel’s approach was focused on maximising its control over Palestinian territories while minimising the Palestinian population.

Justice Muralidhar also explained that the commission was collecting and preserving evidence related to alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The commission’s work is aimed at documenting evidence that could be relevant to accountability for violations of international law.

His remarks represent a strong criticism of Israeli policies and draw attention to continuing international scrutiny of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The interview also highlights the role of international investigative bodies in documenting alleged violations and preserving evidence for possible future legal proceedings.
