The group, comprising two women and four men, had been out of contact since November 1 after snowfall affected the area. A private helicopter rescued them on Monday morning, according to Binaya Singh, Police Inspector and spokesperson for the District Police Office in Dolpa.

Following the rescue, all six tourists were taken to a government hospital in the Dune area of Dolpa district for medical treatment.

Police said the tourists were out of danger and were receiving medical attention. No further details about their injuries or the circumstances in which they became stranded were provided in the report.

The incident highlights the challenges faced by visitors travelling in Nepal’s mountainous regions during periods of heavy snowfall, when weather conditions can disrupt movement and communication.

The safe rescue of all six tourists brought the emergency to an end, with medical teams continuing to monitor their condition.
