Jio Platforms IPO: Reliance Industries-backed Jio Platforms is expected to launch its much-anticipated initial public offering in October 2026. According to reports, the IPO could open for subscription on October 21 and close on October 23, with listing potentially taking place on October 28. These dates are tentative and await final confirmation from the company.

The proposed IPO could raise around ₹37,000-38,000 crore, making it potentially the largest IPO in India, surpassing Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,870 crore issue. The company has already received SEBI's final observations on its draft offer documents.

Jio Platforms' draft prospectus provides for a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares. The final issue price and valuation have not been disclosed yet and will be determined through the book-building process.

The IPO proceeds are primarily proposed to be used to repay or prepay borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm, with around ₹27,500 crore earmarked for this purpose. The remaining funds are intended for general corporate purposes.

If the reported schedule holds, the anchor book could open on October 19, ahead of the public issue. Jio Platforms is expected to list on both the NSE and BSE.

However, investors should note that the price band, final issue size, subscription dates and listing schedule are subject to official confirmation. Jio Platforms' investor-relations page currently hosts its IPO documents.
