In an update posted on X on Friday, October 23, 2026, the embassy announced revised cancellation timelines affecting flights between India and Saudi Arabia. The extensions could disrupt travel plans for passengers travelling for business, tourism, employment and religious visits.

According to the embassy, IndiGo flights to and from Riyadh will remain cancelled through October 31, 2026, inclusive. Meanwhile, services connecting with Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will remain cancelled through October 27, 2026, inclusive.

The decision comes as security concerns continue to affect regional aviation operations. The extended suspensions mean passengers scheduled to travel on the affected routes may need to adjust their itineraries or explore alternative arrangements.

Travellers are advised to check their flight status directly with IndiGo before heading to the airport. Passengers should also review airline notifications regarding rebooking options, refunds and any subsequent changes to flight schedules.

The announcement is particularly relevant for Indian nationals travelling to Saudi Arabia for work, family visits and other commitments. Jeddah and Madinah are also important destinations for visitors undertaking religious journeys.

The Indian Embassy’s advisory provides specific dates for the affected routes, but further updates may follow depending on the regional security situation.

Passengers should rely on official airline communications and embassy announcements for the latest information before making travel decisions.
