Ike Barinholtz has reportedly joined the cast of Naughty, an upcoming holiday comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage. Directed by Olivia Wilde, the Universal Pictures project has also added Chase Sui Wonders to its growing cast, following Regina Hall’s reported involvement.
Written by Jimmy Warden, Naughty centres on Mallory, a single mother played by Aniston, who is determined to secure custody of her son from her manipulative ex-husband. In an unusual twist, she must track down Santa Claus, portrayed by Dinklage, and persuade him to testify at her divorce hearing. According to reports, Barinholtz will play Mallory’s ex-husband.
The film also reunites Barinholtz with Wonders, his co-star from The Studio. Barinholtz is known for his roles in The Mindy Project, Neighbours, Blockers and The Oath, showcasing his experience across television and comedy films.
The actor has several projects lined up. He is set to appear in Luca Guadagnino’s Artificial, in which he reportedly plays Elon Musk. His upcoming slate also includes CoComelon: The Movie and Sarah Polley’s The Bell Jar, featuring Billie Eilish and Carey Mulligan.
With Aniston leading the story and Dinklage taking on the role of Santa Claus, Naughty offers a festive comedy premise built around an unconventional custody battle. Further details about the film’s release date and complete cast have not been provided in the report.
