The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force soared over the skies of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, for the first time, leaving spectators spellbound with their breathtaking aerial manoeuvres.
The air show, witnessed by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, drew an audience of more than one lakh people over two days. Students, NCC cadets, and NSS volunteers joined locals to watch the team’s dazzling display of discipline, precision, and teamwork.
In a social media post, Minister Seth described the event as a remarkable showcase of the Indian Air Force’s glorious capabilities, praising the courage and dedication of the pilots. He highlighted the team’s professionalism, which has been demonstrated in over 800 airshows worldwide during its illustrious 30‑year journey.
The Suryakiran team, known for its signature red and white aircraft, has long been a symbol of India’s aviation excellence. Their debut in Meerut not only thrilled the crowd but also reinforced the Air Force’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of aviation enthusiasts and cadets.
