The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Japan Air Self‑Defence Force (JASDF) are conducting the bilateral air exercise Veer Guardian 2026 at the Air Force Station Jodhpur, marking another milestone in the growing defence partnership between the two nations.
The 14‑day exercise, set to conclude on Tuesday, focuses on advanced operational missions and extensive professional interactions between the two air forces. The drills aim to enhance tactical proficiency, interoperability, and aerospace operational synergy, reflecting the deepening strategic ties between India and Japan.
India is participating with a diverse fleet of frontline combat aircraft, including the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Su‑30MKI, and Rafale jets. Japan has deployed its F‑2A fighter aircraft, bringing together cutting‑edge technology and operational expertise from both sides.
