The fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026, India’s flagship semiconductor conference, concluded successfully at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi, highlighting the country’s growing role in the global chip ecosystem.

Held under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”, the three‑day event featured over 600 exhibitors, including 300 international participants and representatives from 52 countries. Six country pavilions — Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Sweden — along with 12 State Government pavilions, showcased diverse strengths across the semiconductor value chain.

The conference recorded 51,656 registrations and a cumulative footfall of nearly 40,000 visitors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the event, emphasized India’s transition from policy discussions to commercial semiconductor production. He interacted with young chip designers and students, while also virtually inaugurating production lines at CDIL Semiconductor, Mohali, and Suchi Semicon, Surat.

Across three days, the event witnessed 56 MoUs and strategic announcements spanning semiconductor design, fabrication, advanced packaging, equipment, materials, power electronics, and Artificial Intelligence. Industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers came together to strengthen collaboration and investment, positioning India as a future hub for semiconductor innovation.
