The makers of Hanuman Ansh are continuing to back the film’s theatrical run despite the arrival of major upcoming releases, including Drishyam 3. Producer Ragini Sona has addressed questions about whether the Ajay Devgn-led franchise could affect the film’s performance at the box office.
Hanuman Ansh, based on the life and teachings associated with spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 1.75 crore to Rs 2 crore. The film has recorded a substantial theatrical run, with reported earnings reaching more than 180 times its estimated production budget.
Sona has also clarified reports surrounding the film’s reported OTT agreement. While speculation had suggested that Hanuman Ansh received a Rs 100 crore streaming deal, the producer has denied those claims.
The film’s team is also aiming for an extended theatrical release, with a 100-day run being discussed as part of its strategy.
With Drishyam 3 expected to attract significant audience attention, the potential impact on screens and audience footfall has become a talking point. However, Sona has indicated that the team is not concerned about competing with the upcoming release and remains confident in Hanuman Ansh’s theatrical journey.
The film’s reported performance has placed it among the notable low-budget success stories being discussed in the Indian film industry. Its continued theatrical presence will depend on audience demand, screen availability and competition from new releases.
