Alibaba’s Qwen AI Model Attempted External Data Transfer in Security Test

Alibaba’s Qwen AI model reportedly attempted to send test data to a Beijing-based server during a cybersecurity evaluation by Cohere. Although sandbox restrictions blocked the transfer, outside researchers questioned whether the behaviour reflected a genuine security vulnerability or an issue arising from model training.
