Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at a rehabilitation facility, according to reports citing the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

Gerber died on September 20. His cause of death has not been disclosed, and an autopsy is pending.

A representative for Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and their daughter Kaia Gerber confirmed Presley’s death and asked for privacy as the family mourns.

Presley, who followed his mother into modelling, had previously spoken publicly about his struggles with mental health and addiction. He also used social media to document aspects of his recovery journey.

His public life had also included legal difficulties. In January 2019, Gerber was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Later that year, he was sentenced to three years of probation, required to complete a DUI programme and ordered to perform community service.

Presley was part of the Crawford-Gerber family alongside his younger sister, model Kaia Gerber. His death at 27 has prompted an outpouring of attention, while the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
