Announced on October 21, the Paytm AU SFB Credit Card combines benefits on eligible everyday payments made through Paytm UPI with rewards on travel bookings and Paytm Gold purchases. The card comes without joining or annual fees, according to the companies.

One of its key features is family airport lounge access. Eligible cardholders can access lounges for up to four family members travelling together on qualifying round-trip flights booked through Paytm. The card provides up to 12 complimentary lounge visits per year, with entry facilitated through a QR code instead of requiring the physical credit card.

The feature is intended to make airport visits more convenient for families while helping them manage travel expenses. Complimentary lounge access can provide a place to relax before departure, although the actual benefit depends on the card's eligibility conditions and applicable terms.

The card also targets consumers who regularly use digital payment platforms. By combining UPI-linked rewards with travel-related benefits, the partnership aims to bring everyday spending and travel privileges together in a single payment product.

However, prospective applicants should review the complete reward structure before applying. The maximum advertised reward rate may apply only to selected transactions, and exclusions, spending limits or redemption conditions could affect the actual value received.

Travellers should also confirm lounge eligibility, visit limits, eligible flight bookings and QR-code access requirements before planning a journey around the benefit.

For families considering a new credit card, the combination of no joining or annual fees, UPI rewards and complimentary lounge access may be worth evaluating against their regular spending habits and travel frequency.
