According to the schedule, SSC JE 2026 Paper-I is proposed to be conducted from November 2 to 6, 2026. The Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPF examination is scheduled for November 20 to 28, while SSC CHSL 2026 Tier-I is proposed from November 30 to December 31, 2026.
| SSC Examination | Exam Stage | Proposed Dates |
|---|---|---|
| Junior Engineer Examination 2026 | Paper-I (CBE) | November 2–6, 2026 |
| Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPF Examination 2026 | CBE | November 20–28, 2026 |
| CHSL Examination 2026 | Tier-I (CBE) | November 30–December 31, 2026 |
The dates are proposed, and SSC may revise them through subsequent notices. Candidates should therefore regularly check the Commission’s official website for updates. The SSC website lists the October 1, 2026 notice on its notice board.
For SSC JE 2026, the Commission has announced 1,748 tentative vacancies. The recruitment covers Junior Engineer positions in different central government organisations, with vacancy details across engineering disciplines and departments.
SSC’s broader 2026-27 calendar had initially placed JE in May-June and CHSL in July-September, showing that examination schedules can be revised during the recruitment cycle.
