Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 9 update to select Galaxy S26 series smartphones after delays pushed back the wider release. The Android 17-based update is currently reaching some Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra devices in the US.
The update has reportedly appeared on T-Mobile-activated phones, with the download size around 4GB. Unlocked Galaxy S26 devices have not yet widely received the update, indicating that Samsung is still expanding the rollout in stages.
Samsung initially released the stable version of One UI 9 in South Korea on September 16. The company had indicated that another wave would follow on September 21, but that date passed without a broader release. A September 28 rollout was later expected, while Samsung's Thailand newsroom subsequently said the update would arrive within September without confirming a specific date.
The rollout is also moving toward Samsung's Galaxy A series. Stable One UI 9 builds have reportedly been spotted for several models, including the Galaxy A57, A37, A56, A36, A55, A35 and A34.
The Galaxy A34 is particularly notable because it was not included in the One UI 9 beta programme. The appearance of a stable build suggests that Samsung is preparing the update for a broader range of mid-range and older Galaxy smartphones.
