Sikander Kher recently offered a glimpse inside the Mumbai home of his parents, Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher, showcasing a space filled with family memories, career milestones and personal keepsakes.
The home begins with a traditional nameplate bearing the names “Kirron Anupam” before opening into a hallway decorated with personal items. The passage leads to a spacious living area that combines contemporary elements with traditional decor.
The sitting area features cream-toned furnishings and warm lighting, while framed photographs and traditional paintings add a personal touch. Several Ganesha statues and antique pieces collected by Kirron are also displayed around the home.
The family’s connection to cinema is visible throughout the space. Memorabilia from Sikander’s films is displayed alongside photographs documenting different moments from the Kher family’s personal and professional lives.
One of the notable displays is a wooden table where awards won by Anupam and Kirron are kept together. The collection reflects milestones from their respective careers and forms part of the home's broader collection of memorabilia.
During the home tour, Sikander revealed that some of the objects have been part of the family’s collection for 25 to 30 years. He also noted that many of the decorative pieces were selected by his mother.
The living space opens towards a balcony through a floor-to-ceiling doorway. Overlooking greenery and trees, the balcony adds an open and peaceful element to the family home.
