Bhushan Kumar has emerged as the wealthiest figure in Bollywood, with an estimated net worth of around ₹36,300 crore ($3.8 billion), according to the Hurun India Rich List 2026.
The chairman and managing director of T-Series has built his fortune primarily through the music and entertainment business rather than through acting or directing. His reported wealth also places him among some of India’s richest business figures.
According to the 2026 Hurun list, Bhushan Kumar ranked 87th among India’s wealthiest individuals. He was the only person from the entertainment industry to feature in the top 100.
His estimated fortune is higher than the reported combined wealth of Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, highlighting the scale of T-Series’ business empire.
T-Series, founded by Bhushan Kumar’s late father Gulshan Kumar, has grown from a music label into a major entertainment company with interests spanning music, films and digital content.
The Hurun India Rich List 2026 remains an estimate of wealth rather than a real-time measure of personal assets. Nevertheless, the figures underline the significant financial growth of India’s entertainment industry and Bhushan Kumar’s position within it.
