Around 20 Post Diploma DNB aspirants participating in PDCET 2026 counselling have reportedly received show-cause notices from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) over the non-submission of required No Objection Certificates (NOCs).

The issue concerns candidates who had difficulty obtaining NOCs from their respective authorities during the counselling registration period. Candidates and the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) have raised concerns about delays in obtaining the documents from State authorities.

According to the reported NBEMS notice dated September 17, candidates who are employees or working under a bond are required to submit an NOC, relieving letter or study leave from the competent authority, as specified in the Post-Diploma DNB 2026 counselling handbook.

The notice reportedly asks affected candidates to explain why their candidature should not be cancelled for participating in counselling without the required NOC. Candidates were given until September 19 to submit their responses.

For candidates who have already received DNB seats, the matter is particularly significant because a relieving letter from the concerned employer or institution is required for joining training.

The situation remains subject to the responses submitted by candidates and any subsequent action by NBEMS under the applicable counselling rules.
