The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2026 will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on October 11, 2026. The examination will be held in offline, OMR-based mode for 37 subjects.
The KSET 2026 hall ticket is scheduled to be released on October 1. Candidates should download it from the official KEA portal and verify details such as their examination centre, photograph and instructions.
Candidates applying for KSET generally need a recognised Master’s degree or must be appearing in the final year. General category candidates require at least 55% marks, while SC, ST, Category-I, OBC, PwD and transgender candidates require 50%. There is no upper age limit for appearing in the examination.
KSET 2026 will consist of two papers conducted on the same day. Paper I will have 50 questions for 100 marks and Paper II will contain 100 questions for 200 marks. The total duration is three hours, and there is no negative marking.
Paper I covers teaching and research aptitude, comprehension, communication, reasoning, data interpretation, ICT, environment and higher education. Paper II assesses the subject selected by the candidate.
The exam will be conducted across designated centres in Karnataka. Candidates should rely on their hall ticket for the final centre details.
