Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 3rd National Conference of Anti‑Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Heads in New Delhi, bringing together officials from 36 States and Union Territories. Organized by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the two‑day event serves as a powerful platform to protect future generations from the menace of drugs.

The conference, themed “United Resolve, Shared Responsibility,” focuses on reviewing progress under the recently released Vision Document on Narcotics Control (2026‑29). Discussions will highlight strategies for supply reduction, demand reduction, and harm reduction, ensuring stronger enforcement against drug trafficking and abuse.

During the event, Amit Shah launched the new NCB website, unveiled four TV commercials to raise awareness about drug abuse, and laid foundation stones for new NCB zonal offices in Lucknow and Dehradun.

The Home Ministry emphasized that the government is working in mission mode to safeguard youth from drugs, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Officials noted that achieving this goal is impossible without building a drug‑free India.

This landmark conference underscores India’s determination to fight narcotics with innovation, awareness, and enforcement, ensuring a safer future for the nation’s youth.
