The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch 2 stands out from other third-party gamepads with its playful Nintendo-inspired designs and RGB lighting. Available in multiple editions, including the Rosalina design and an all-black version, the controller combines a colorful appearance with features aimed at everyday gaming.
The controller has a lightweight and slim design with offset thumbsticks similar to the Switch 2 Pro Controller. It includes motion controls, dedicated GameChat access, programmable rear buttons and a rechargeable battery rated for up to 40 hours. With RGB effects enabled, battery life drops to around 12 hours. The wireless range is rated at up to 30 feet.
Turtle Beach also uses TMR technology for the analog sticks, designed to provide precise movement while reducing the risk of traditional stick drift. During testing across games including Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Mario Kart World and Resident Evil Requiem, the controller delivered responsive performance with smooth thumbsticks and clicky triggers and bumpers.
However, the Rematch has some compromises. It does not include rumble or haptic feedback, cannot wake the Switch 2 from the controller and has a hollow feel and sound. The face buttons can also feel hard during games that require prolonged button presses.
With its comfortable design, colorful Nintendo-inspired looks, RGB lighting and TMR thumbsticks, the Turtle Beach Rematch offers a distinctive option for Switch 2 players looking for something more playful than a standard controller.
