Actor Sonu Sood has reacted to the long queues seen outside Apple stores in India following the launch of the iPhone 18 series.

The latest iPhone models went on sale in India on Friday, with several customers arriving early and waiting in line to purchase the new devices. Videos from the launch-day crowds quickly circulated on social media.

Joining the online discussion, Sonu shared a post on X questioning the enthusiasm around upgrading smartphones. He wrote, “New phone, new EMI… same old bills! Maybe it's time we queue up to make a difference, not just upgrade our phones. The real upgrade is a better society.”

The post prompted a mixed response from social media users. Some agreed with the actor’s message, while others argued that people should be free to spend their money as they choose. Some users also compared the enthusiasm for product launches with participation in civic activities.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now available in India, with prices starting at ₹1,64,900 and ₹1,79,900 respectively, according to the information shared in the original report.

The latest models feature Apple’s A20 Pro chip and a new vapour chamber, with multiple colour and storage options.

On the work front, Sonu Sood was last seen in Fateh, which he also directed and produced.
