Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi Note 17 series in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max and Redmi Note 17 Pro. The two smartphones are positioned in the premium segment of the Note lineup.
Both models feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. The high refresh rate is designed to provide smoother scrolling and animations, while the high brightness rating is aimed at improving outdoor visibility.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is equipped with a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, giving it a particularly large battery capacity for a smartphone in its segment.
The standard Redmi Note 17 Pro comes with a 9,000mAh battery, also using high-capacity battery technology.
The Pro Max model additionally supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, allowing compatible content to make use of enhanced contrast and colour capabilities on its display.
The new smartphones are part of Xiaomi’s continued expansion of the Redmi Note series in India, with the Pro variants targeting users looking for larger displays, high refresh rates and extended battery capacity.
The combination of AMOLED panels, high brightness and large silicon-carbon batteries is central to the latest models, with Xiaomi positioning the devices toward consumers seeking premium features in the Redmi Note lineup.
